Information We Collect
Data stored locally on your device:
- Movies, scenes, and characters you create — stored only on your device using local storage. We never transmit this data to our servers.
- App preferences and settings — stored locally.
Data sent to third-party services:
- Story text you generate is sent to OpenAI's API to produce AI-written narratives. See OpenAI's privacy policy for details.
- Advertising identifiers and usage signals are shared with Google AdMob to serve relevant ads. See the Advertising section below.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
MiniMovie Creator displays ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use the following to serve advertisements:
- Advertising ID (resettable device identifier)
- IP address and approximate location
- Device information (model, OS version)
- App usage and interaction data
Our app is configured with child-directed settings and requests non-personalised ads where required. For full details, please review Google's Privacy Policy and AdMob's data practices.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by resetting your Advertising ID in your device settings under Google → Ads.
AI Story Generation (OpenAI)
When you request an AI-generated story, the scene descriptions and character names you have created are sent to OpenAI's API to generate narrative text. This content is processed according to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
We do not store or log AI-generated content on our own servers. Generated stories are saved locally on your device only.
Data Security
All content you create (movies, scenes, characters) is stored exclusively on your device. We do not operate databases that store your creative content.
Communications with third-party services (OpenAI, Google AdMob) are transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
Children's Privacy
MiniMovie Creator is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Our advertising is configured with child-directed treatment flags enabled (tagForChildDirectedTreatment: true), limiting the type of ads served within the app.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to address it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
